I just wonder how you do so perfect darkness in your traditionals.
This is possibly my favourite deviation ever. Absolutely beautiful!
Your black paper drawings are so gorgeous...
This is just lovely. Minimalistic, yet full of depth and expression. Beautiful!
Sooooo beautiful! This is so incredibly well done! I'm in loooooove with your art!
So stunning. Not only did you capture his likeness, but there's so much emotion.
Breathtakingly beautiful. Serenity and sadness, this is what I feel when I look at this. Thank you.
My favourite of your black&white drawings! 'cause he really looks restful, in a dark room, thinking about so many things. So the title is very accurate too.
I can not think that this masterpiece... in a few days... will be...
Really. I'm excited as if I were waiting to receive an Oscar.
I love all of your Sherlock sketches, but I didn't just wanna go and all of them, and this one spoke to me
He looks so relaxed and at peace.

The delicate way you play with shades is always mindblowing.

Beautiful and awesome, as always
Fabulous ! A perfection ! Well done !
Thanks very much!
You're very welcome ! May I ask you which kind of paper and pencil do you use to draw this kind of portrait. I've bought a black paper and a white pencil but the pencil seems too dry and the paper too hard... Thanks by advance for your respond !
The paper I use is a nameless brand (probably of Finnish origin) that I buy in separate sheets from a local crafts store, so I can't really help you there (I did draw one of these on Canson pastel paper, on the less textured side, but I didn't like it, it's a bit darker and the texture was a bit wrong). And I don't have a preference for white pencils, I just use what I have at hand, though they do tend to be either Cretacolor Marino or Derwent Coloursoft, because I can easily get new ones. But yeah, I've used up all my white kiddie pencils I had lying around for ages and I've gone through several Faber-Castells. They all kinda feel the same, except perhaps Prismacolors, I don't use them for this kind of work, too waxy.
Oh my. His lips are just... perfect. You're brilliant, my dear. As always.
