Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes in BBC's Sherlock.

White coloured pencil and grey pastel pencil on A4 black paper. Used a screencap from 1x02 The Blind Banker as a reference.

I really like this series. I'm going to do my best to describe what comes to mind and I hope it makes sense.

When I see these pieces, it feels like a bit of chalky dust was blown across a figure in the dark. It's like in one breath something was illuminated. And that adds to the fact that each of these pieces are with Sherlock (who solves things in this way) and John (who seems to have some sort of emotional epiphany on how to get through the day despite being a veteran out of place). I hope this makes sense.

Haha, well, to ruin your poetry here, the chalky dust bit is actually quite accurate as I used grey pastel for that lighter bit in the background.

God, I love comments like that, thank you! <3
