:D Would be honored if you could give me some advice. I'm now working on drawing hair better. If you want you could look on my profile. Then you'll see what I mean.

Well, it seems that you've figured out how to get proportions right and that's one of the most important things. What I'd suggest you to do is to start experimenting with contrast in order to add depth to your drawings, to make them come alive, perhaps get yourself some softer pencils if you haven't got them already. Uh..I really suck at giving advice. I personally learned everything I know from the tutorials I found here on dA, so I'm always telling people to figure things out by themselves, because, you know, there isn't one certain way to draw hair, for example. I normally use mechanical pencils for hair, because they're perfect for drawing all those hair strands. I draw some lines, blend them, 'draw' some lines with an eraser stick, blend again and repeat until it starts to look right. But everyone does it differently and you just have to figure out what suits you the best.

thanks for the advice :D
I do use contrast. It's not really much, but it's more than the scans show you (the scan is really really white, and I don't know how to change that). I see that some people use more than I do, and I've heard this advice before. I really do believe that the scan makes the contrast less, but I'm willing to try to create more contract on the drawings itselves, since I do notice that even with the scanner lowering it, lots of people use more contrast.
I do have lots of pensiltypes, but I almost never use more than one in one drawing. It's probably because I'm not certain about how the pensillines of 'secundairy' pensils will look, cuz I can't 'compare' it with the ';primairy' pensil I use (if I use one pensil I can guess more easily how it will look). I'll try to ignore that feeling and try some more pensils in one drawing.
I think that 'shading' the hair will work best for me. I love shading, since I use that a lot in the faces. I tried that shading thing a little bit on my latest drawing (Dominic Howard). I'll try some Tutorials, since I really want to get better at it. But at the mo I can't since there are more important things to be done (University par example).
I hope I can show you some new drawings in the future to show you my improvement.

Apparently, he saw the phosphorous carousel of the great Mingelinga Stat, saved a planet from the red carnivorous Maw, named a galaxy Alison and got married to Elizabeth I. Who is not called the Virgin Queen anymore. :bucktooth:
