Hmm yes, perfect. I love how you mostly do profiles on black paper! There is something that the black paper adds, a bit of mystery (mhuahaha). You drew the light very soft, I like that! Sherlock's curls look really pretty in that soft light.
Also, Benedict's profile is quite... mesmerizing. Is it as fun to draw as it looks?
Profiles are the most convenient choice, I guess. You don't want to draw something that's fully in the light and profiles give you a nice contrast. AND I STILL CAN'T FIND ANY SUITABLE SCREENCAPS. Except profiles. From the scenes I've drawn already, lol.
YES. He's got the prettiest profile ever. I might be slightly obsessed.
I really cannot tell you how fantastic this is. It sets my heart a-flutter~ This is so great, I love the lighting, no matter how hard I try, I can't do lighting. You're very talented. This is beautiful. I wish I could draw like this. Tutorials?~
I've only made one tutorial, it's on hair and it sucks balls, but there's a collection of tuts by other people in my favourites section, you might want to check them out. Lots of useful stuff there. Though I haven't found any that explain white-on-black. But eh...drawing is drawing, lol. 8D
I think this is the best Sherlock/John art I've seen so far. The sobriety enhances the emotion of their gazes and the simplicity of the line makes the whole picture absolutely breathtaking. You're not just good at drawing, you get such great ideas to portray the characters in depth.
I just really don't know what to say to express my thoughts about how awesome I think the whole concept / skill thing is. If you ever want to do a commission or whatever, I would happily pay you for something similar to this drawing. I love it THAT much.
